What’s in a name?

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 In the African Cup of Nations,
The nicknames are chosen with science,
Designed to invoke palpitations,
Their names are roared out in defiance.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 There are elephants, huge and impressive,
And eagles, both super and plain.
There are crocodiles, quick and aggressive,
And antelopes on the terrain.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 The lions growl their name to the brothers,
Preparing to rip out your spleen,
But the ones I admire ‘bove all others
Are the terrifying “Squirrels” of Benin.

Notes

I kid you not.
