Whats it All About?

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 A game ends in a nil nil draw
Dem Scousers think
They’ve won the war
Half time’s all it is me son
The fight is to be carried on

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 What is this talk of a vacuum
To score and stop the ball?
When we go up to Anfield
Are we playing blow football?

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Calm down you reds
Enjoy the game
Live in the now
Not ancient fame

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 I’m not getting all this mercenary stuff
Whats that all about?
Did Houllier or this Rafa bloke
Sign a local scouse?

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Is it all about Romans money?
If it is then why not say
An Indonesian crook was gonna bale you out
But I suppose that, thats ok?

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 This beautiful game will be enjoyed
Whatever we all say
But all this other rubbish
Throw it all away!

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 peace.

Notes

A couple of very strange poems that seem to completely miss the fact the Champions League Semi is only at the interval stage! Calm down, calm down. Are Chelsea out of order for breaking the ManYoo/Gooner
monopoly? You would think so by some of the comments here.

The London Evening Standard is awash with talk of the Cup Final! If we were playing Liverpool in that, would the press be focusing on it as much as they are now?

The King is dead, long live the King. The new King on the block is walking up the aisle to be presented to his adoring public. Next year our league will have a very strong nucleus of five or six teams which surely can only be good for our game. Do we want to end up like Scotland and playonly four tough games a season then because of weak opposition at home be found seriously wanting when we go in to Europe?

Or is it all pure unadulterated envy?

peace.
