When Giants Fall

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 When giants fall, the crash resounds
Like thunder all around the grounds.
And chairmen and directors shriek
As pylons sway and goalposts creak
And debris rains down from the sky
And threatens to intensify.
Its not an isolated squall
That rages round, when giants fall.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 When giants fall, the heavens ring
With universal sniggering.
They come to poke him in the head
To see if he is really dead.
Fearfully, the jackals creep,
Afraid lest he is just asleep.
Oh listen to the bravehearts call
With timid voice, when giants fall.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 When giants fall, the nearby elves
Gulp nervously amongst themselves
And lie awake with nervous brow,
Afraid of the despondent slough.
For size means nothing when the crone
Lays grasping hand on shoulder bone.
Few, if any, can forestall
The icy breath, when giants fall.

Notes

Shels are playing Leeds United in a friendly next month. Seemed kind of appropriate.
