When You’re Out!

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Like a seaside resort that’s not sunny
Like Smoky Robinsons “The Tears Of A Clown”
Like an old joke you no longer find funny
That how it feels when you’re out

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 When you’re out, the stadiums like Hades
A sad, dark and quite lonely place
Next time inane highly paid players
Will need to do more than just chase

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 When the wags have all gone
True fans ponder on
Just what this feelings about
But all we are left with is what might have been
That’s how it feels when you’re out

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 While the other fans cheer
You hold back the tears
Thinking thoughts that are deeply profound
It’s not a nice feeling as emotions start reeling
That’s how it feels when you’re out

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Like a total eclipse or a slow sinking ship
That the rats will leave fast or else drown
There is no preparation for the sheer desperation
That die-hards will feel when you’re out

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 As the party goes on even though your team’s gone
You’ll taste the sour bitter taste of self doubt
How come this team can’t fulfill all me dreams?
That’s how you feel when you’re out

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 In another four years you’ll revisit these fears
Down roads of melancholia that one must traipse to
That’s why others like me who I’m sure would agree
Think to themselves as they dwell on such hell
“Next time it’s us who’ll go through”!
