arriving early at this sports complex for

on the mound high above the Club House
hundred yards away or just a tad shorter,
long trek in prospect to grab a best bitter

of money and diving en pursuit of fame
and dodgy haircuts plus body mutilation,
why go through pain to be covered in tat?
