Where was Trevor?

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 I turned the telly on last night,
At half eleven as ever,
But lo! I got an awful fright,
There was no sign of Trevor.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 I hope he hasn’t been replaced,
That wouldn’t be too clever,
The best presenter to have graced
The Eircom Show is Trevor.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 That toothpick wasn’t all that great,
Despite his best endeavour,
He doesn’t really have the weight
Of somebody like Trevor.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Trevor and the Eircom League
Have links we must not sever,
For though there might be much intrigue,
We must hold on to Trevor.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Trev must be on holidays,
Because I’m sure they’d never
Let him go his separate ways –
Oh, where the hell is Trevor?

Notes

Trevor Welch is the burly Desmond Lynam figure on Irelands equivalent of “Match of the Day”
