White Hankies At The Bernabeau!

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Were white hankies waving in the breeze
At the Bernabeau last night?
As Gunners lead by Thierry Henry
Blasted home team out of sight

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 The scoreline not a true reflection
Of the chances Arsenal had
To embarrass said Galatico’s
In their fortress like type pad!

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 “The first English team to win there”
Said pundits on the screen
As “One nil to the Arsenal”
Rang out o’er hallowed field of green

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 ZZ resorted to kicking
As the home team were found out
As a rather ordinary La Liga outfit
Was this the Madrid we’d heard about?

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Over three thousand Gooners
Pilgramaged to cheer the boys
As their loudly lauded terrace tunes
Echoed over Ultra’s noise

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 “A young team in transition
That’ll take some time to gel”
Last night those young boys turned into men
As the Bernabeau was quelled

Notes

Triffic stuff this. Big up for the Gunners as they made Real Madrid look very vin ordinaire last night in the Champions League.

It could have been very embarrasing indeed for the home team as Arsenal cut through the Madrid defence time after time like a knife through butter.

Hats off to Wenger for a great tactical game plan that worked a treat as Madrid were beat!

Great viewing this!

Gerry Armstrong said on Sky that if the Real Madrid players are not giving thier all for the team, the home fans are prone to start waving white hankies as a sign of thier discontentment with whats going on out on the park, what don’t they know how to swear in Spain then?

peace.

kev.
