I get the strangest feeling, when I hear this song
Why does it always rain on me?
Is it because I missed a goal, when I was seventeen?

And I’m here reclining
Oh where did the good Sky go?
Is it because, I didn’t pay my subs?

My team’s chances are declining
Oh where did the Sky Blues go?
Is it because, they just weren’t good enough?

Is it because I skied a chance, when I was seventeen?
Had the whole goal to aim at
But just choked, and then fell flat

I can’t avoid the lightening
For it struck twice, unlike me
And now I forever wallow, in my misery

Is it because I spurned, such a goalscoring spree?

Just keep at it, so I’ve been told

But on sunny days, or if it’s oh so cold, I’m always there, just as keen
Still if I close my eyes, I can see myself as a, scoring machine

But with football, my life’s not empty
