A Life? Without Football? is There Such A Thing?

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 There’d be sweet FA, to be whinging about
If the football went out of me life
How would I cope with life’s insecurities, doubts
I dunno, yer’d best ask me trouble and strife.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 See, when the government’s doing me head in
Or some minister spouts total crap
Stood up in the stands when they’re singing
Brings an aura of calm to this West London chap.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 House prices falling like raindrops
Rates of interest, a real cause for concern
Up in The Shed, Stretford End or The Kop
With like minded faithfull, life’s problems
Can just wait their turn.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 So when two teams of eleven
Take this bloke’s mind off the irrelevant
On alternate Saturday’s at three
I dunno about a life without football
Cos straight up, hand on heart truthfull
At The Football’s where I wanna be!

I’ve tried it a life with out football. It’s a real no no as Sir Alec said
