With Eoin on the overlap,
Young Weso sprung the offside trap.
With perfect timing, he released
The tough, uncompromising beast.
And Bomber, running into space
With meteoric burst of pace,
Left the poor defender static,
As he cruised on automatic.
He sprinted to the bye-line and
Looked up to see who was at hand,
And slid a pass in, heaven sent,
To Jayo lurking with intent,
Who slotted home to great delight
To ease the worries of the night.

A call of nature meant I heard
The roar, when this sweet move occurred.
Though happy ‘bout the goal, I had a
Little rant at my weak bladder.
But lo! When I regained my seat,
They conjured an exact repeat,
An action replay of the first
With Weso’s pass and Eoin’s burst.
And Jayo’s final shot rang true,
With just a hint of deja-vu.
I thought it was extremely nice
Of them to score the same goal twice
For those of us inside the ground
Who’d missed the action first time round.
