At Last .. Why They Dive Explained

at last we understand
we started in the water
we ended up on land

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 that’s why we walk in crocodiles
when we go out at school
that’s why we canot really grasp
this “are they diving?” rule…
but now at last it’s crystal clear
at last we realise
it’s in our jeans and in our dreams
it comes as no surprise –
it’s just a reflex reaction
a mystery no more
there’s nothing fishy going on
how mammals try to score –
it’s part of evolution
the way the game’s involved
the worlds’ a ball the sea a pitch
it’s simple – problem solved…
it’s hard to fall without some grace
it happens all the while
no wonder some go flying
with drama grace and style

Scientists have made one of the most important fossil finds in history: a missing link between fish and land animals, showing how creatures first walked out of the water and on to dry land more than 375m years ago.
Palaeontologists have said that the find, a crocodile-like animal called the Tiktaalik roseae and described today in the journal Nature, could become an icon of evolution in action – like Archaeopteryx, the famous fossil that bridged the gap between reptiles and birds.
