Bobby Moncur.

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Bobby we were young men then
You our captain supreme
And me a Newcastle fan.
You held the trophy high
On your Tyneside return
And oh how we sang
You our captain fantastic
And me an ecstatic fan.
Bobby, you a fairs cup winner
Our captain and a leader of men
You the pride of Tyneside
And me a devoted fan.
Now as you face your biggest challenge
On Tyneside with you we all stand
For we never forget our heroes
And I am sure I speak for every true fan.

For Bobby Moncur Newcastle United’s fairs cup winning captain back in 1969 who last week announced he is fighting cancer. Be strong Bobby, I am sure all football fans are with you.
