Born a Red

In amniotic fluids
Mersey waters rivers cold
And fragrant truths
My mother chose
Guinness dark and nicotine
But best of all
Two weeks to go
A trip to Anfield
Before my heaven
My earthbound heart
Beneath her heart
Found heaven lasting
Punched those walls
Umbilically I kicked for joy
Tho’ truly I would walk alone.
