1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 I see red words
On a screen so white
Sagely put, for one so young
Yet she’s fit to scream
From so much dung and shite

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 United, by a love of green
She pitches the ideal
Of ditching the obscene

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 I support a team in blue
Darker than the sky
As blue as a royal curse
But one could not repeat
Their terrace chants in verse

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 My hair is grey
But I’m ok, with my morals
I obey, avoiding quarrels

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 My boots are black
Though no longer muddied
Hung up now, my muscles lack
The energy to physically pursue my passion
Instead I watch and listen, but my sensibilities are bloodied

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 How do we reach
Beyond the converted
We beseech, but the bullies asserted

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 If the pen, is truly mightier than the sword
Then scribbles
About dribbles, passes, shots and tackles
Have to encompass the wherewithal
To help us break free from racist shackles
