twisting them together at speed –
the first whiff of smoke
draws a yellow card
but then enflames
and the whistle on the lips
of upbraided arbiter
signals penalty
and red
for the unfortunate Digkacoi

his meritorious diving badge

Man Utd 2-0 Crystal Palace.

First penalty appeal, Evra falling when running at speed into the box.

Second penalty appeal, outrageous piece of gamesmanship from Ashley young, who stuck his leg into his opponent to make it appear he was tripped.

Third penalty appeal, contact on Young was outside the box, but the referee crumbled under the pressure.
