Finally.. A Woman Commentator

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 A man however hard he tries
Cannot defy nor dare disguise
The changes here before his eyes
Within our sacred game
The cynic deep within us all
Who since his first touch of the ball
Has watched the seasons rise and fall
For boy or girl the same

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 A woman’s place was always known
Through endless macho years alone
All fuelled on testosterone
Until she came our way
And blokes like Motty and the like
Must bite their lip and take a hike
When Jacqui Oatley grabs the mike
Upon Match of The Day

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 I will not sleep from mental fight
Nor shall my heart give up the fight
Til we accept they have the right
as much as any male
And though it’s hard for some to bear
I will not cry nor shed a tear
Til there are women everywhere
from Arsenal to Port Vale

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 What future now for die-hard men
The dreaded moment cometh when
Their darkest fears are raised again
By some impersonator
Upon the mighty BBC
Where Motson babbles endlessly
A man’s game this but finally
A woman commentator

Shock horror. First ever female commentator on MOTD this weekend at Fulham . The New Age and Football. I still fear a backlash from the blokes. My advice…. get over it!
