Football
¶ 1
Leave a comment on verse 1 0
My head is not bound up in the
Conflicts and conventions of
Perceived cleverness and assumed status
And the paper chase of
Titles Letters Attainments
In my head there is but one rule
Football
¶ 2
Leave a comment on verse 2 0
My heart is not trapped in a web
Of conjecture and supposition
Mesmeric mind games and masks
Within masks subtleties and not so
Subtle of those who say and those who never do
In my heart there is but one passion
Football
¶ 3

My soul is not for sale at any price
Not desire nor thought nor acquisition
Prices labels promises all the same
My road is my road my triumphs failures
Measure me and none shall rescue
In my soul there is but one faith
Football.
