To change our luck and get a win
Against advice of ignoramus and sycophants

Green is the chosen colour of the fairies
Bad luck to upset our little friends
The colour of continued life and resurrection*
Prescribe green when our season ends

Yellow for cowardice, betrayal and death
But the colour of gold and the sun
Our home kit seems a mixed bag
Is that why we haven’t won?

Maybe it’s worth giving it a go
