Judas

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Loved his football did Judas
Showed some promise too
But he wasn’t really a team player
Not a lad for Shankly, Busby or Stein
Still, he had his moments
And when the agents
Offered him 30 pieces of silver
(Lot of money that them days)
He couldn’t say no
So he kissed the badge
Went off and won
Bugger all
And watched as his old mates
Despite the jeers that echoed
Round the stadiums of the world
Went on to glory and immortality
And Judas
He left his shirt with his dreams
Hanging from a tree.
