Keepers ball !

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Nevertheless
A spherical lump of plastic
Lies enmeshed
Amidst a tumult
Of voices
Some, debating ill-conceived choices
Others, ecstatic
As they roar their approval
At the impending removal
Of the fulsome moon, nestling
As if nesting, in a web of string

And pouted
The net minder
And his fault finder

How many times have I heard the keepers call,
played to that call, then turned to find the ball buried
in the back of the ‘ol onion bag?
Enough times to make you weep!
(it’s the onions you understand, grown men don’t cry 😉
