Whisper it softly, but whisper it well,
The team, I believe, are beginning to gel,
They’re giving opposing defences sheer hell,
And the goals keep on whizzing in freely.

Jason and Glenn have now blossomed and thrived,
After last season our hopes have revived,
It’s the best we have played since young Fenlon arrived
And a world of a difference from Keely.

If only the football was always this good,
Played in a way that the fans think it should.
We’re playing such beautiful football, touch wood,
That there’s not many teams that can thwart us.

The passing’s so slick, the attack’s so free-flowing,
The pace of our thinking shows no sign of slowing,
The quest for perfection is stong and ongoing,
But tell me – where are the supporters?
