The Philosopher Who Was Never Drawn Away

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 I recently read some words by Karl, not Marx,
“or any of his brothers” – as Margaret Thatcher
once said to Norman Tebbit’s bike.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 It was Karl Popper’s page-time, having a pop
at Wittgenstein about something
to do with the rules of games maybe
like when language plays football.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 And Immanuel Kant of Königsberg
was never once drawn away from home
to support Königsberg FC. *

* I doubt that there was such a football team. Maybe there was. Maybe there is now. I’ve never heard of them, although I have read that Immanuel Kant never left Königsberg at any time during his life. Maybe he did. Maybe he didn’t. Interesting, eh?
