the Three Lions did roar,
won it with ten men
3-2 the final score.
What a performance
each one played their part,
attacked and defended well
at the end showed grit and heart.
What a performance
Bellingham hit a brace,
quietened their hostile crowd
Azteca stadium what an amazing place.
What a performance
from the team in white,
showed quality and determination
and were up for the fight.
What a performance
yet can they keep it up,
and is it finally coming home
and England win the World Cup ?

Notes

What an amazing game that was so glad I stayed up and watched it as it had the lot.
Not much more to add but so proud of England as it was backs to the wall at the end but they saw it out, football isn’t all about goals it’s about defending tightly as well, and they did it superbly. Still, another tough game awaits with Norway but if they play like they did v Mexico they should win through ?
