even if you’ve been outpassed 
and at times a tad outclassed
though attacks come thick and fast  
leave your doubts all in the past 
when you’re way past second guesses
when the odds are far from even 
tell the rest this : Lionesses
never stop believin’

tiki tika pleasing eyes
doesn’t always win the prize
shapes and pattern don’t win games
we have shown this once again 
sheer resistance underlies
how these girls again surprise 
fighting pressure with high presses
sometimes there’s no rhyme or reason

never mind your Bonmati 
Paralleulo or Caldentey
we’ve got Russo we’ve got James
we’ve got subs that alter games
skipping on like kids at school
Chloe Kelly breaks the rules 
Hannah’s strength between the sticks
Hemp forever in the mix 
from the tightest scrapes and messes
like the beauty of each season
tell the rest this : Lionesses

Through the Mill & Back Again ~ Euro 2025

like the times you lost your way
somewhere back in time
nothing seems to click at all
doubts consume your mind
sometimes you get dragged astray
nothing works and then
something pulls you through the mill
til you’re back again

nights like these they come around
like a carousel
all you planned gets blown aside
why no-one can tell
then just as your faith is stretched
who know how or when
something drags you through the mill
and back on out again

that the beauty of this game
that’s what sparks the dream
that the magic of it all
that’s what binds a team
never losing heart or hope
right on til the end
whatever you go through
to get back again

ev’rybody’s been there
fate can be unkind
scary last ditch moments
nervy extra times
fans go through the wringer
no-one can pretend
nights like this can drain you
til you’re through again

dreaded shoot-out penalties
haunt us through the years
someone is a hero
someone ends in tears
something drives you through it all
like a trusty friend
though that hedge or through the mill
til you’re back again

when it clicks you lose the fear
all those doubts just disappear
let’s just mark it as a scare
when your mojo’s back

scintillating on the ball
pressing high and standing tall
so together one and all
and our mojo’s back

just ignore what they all say
blow those cobwebs right away
singing Caroline all day
when your mojo’s back

Lionesses roar once more
we all know there’s so much more
this is what we came here for
and our mojo’s back

Stanway Russo Hemp and James
hard to just pick out one name
Hampton Bronze all on their game
now our mojo’s back

Wiliamson’s over the moon
Greenwood Carter Walsh and Toone
and our mojo’s back
