Oh to be in England,
Now that April’s here,
Oh to be in England,
But Becks is hurt, I fear.
Yes David Beckham’s hurt I fear,
Tarsal no more is meta,
His foot is all a plasterered
T’is bonded and in fetters.
But summer sun will make him fine,
As will good Bertram Weedon,
And Becks will sail Onedin Line,
To captain us ‘gainst Sweden.
For when Bert Weeden plays the blues,
Your body’s in a swirl,
His guitar is remarkable,
T’will make Becks’ toes to curl.
Immobile toes will start to move,
If Becks will play some Bert,
Don’t play garage, Mr. Becks,
Twill leave your toes inert.
So take advice please Mr. Becks,
It has to be Bert Weedon,
And then you will be fit again
To captain us ‘gainst Sweden.
