and so the jibes begin

the fans share love and hate
with odds in bet-shop windows
to help prolong the wait

clandestine spies come out
‘apparently’ ‘allegedly’
The Sun have sussed it out

“we’re led to understand”
but just like us they’re reading blogs
and news across the land
