The colours, the crest, the red and blue strip,
The devotion and passion on the long away trips.
Speroni in goal, Ward and Moxey at the back,
The solid midfield with Mile Jendinak.

Players we’ve lost but we know would go far,
The Wrights, the Johnson’s and Wilfred Zaha.
The players unfit, please get well in a hurry,
Williams and Parr and our main man Glenn Murray.

Lifetime support with some joy and frustration,
The fight to the top flight, the pain of relegation.
The faith that is felt that we would go all the way,
In the trusty pair of comic hands of Ian Holloway.

The strikes and the tackles of expert precision,
The saves and the shouts for the poor ref decision.
The digging in deep and the extra time slog,
A team always seen as the games underdog.

But some teams forget about the underdogs bark,
In the seated fortress of Selhurst Park.
The top flight now upon us, survival a must.
A team of true warriors, in ‘Ollie’ we trust.

Glad all over, the crowd feeling tense,
The red and Blue army, let battle commence.
Red devils, the gunners, the lions that roar,
But never forget that our EAGLES SOAR.
