They mess you up your football teams
They may not mean to , but they do .
They fill you up with hopes and dreams
and add some glory just for you .

Fan hands on misery to fan.
It deepens like a coastal shelf ** ……….

It’s often lonely being a fan.
But then we spot another one !
You recognise that hound dog look,
those eyes that say if only.

Brightness comes to Monday mornings ,
greetings of “Cobblers ! ”
met with a hearty ” Toffees !! ”

Tales of victory (rare) , angst , poor decisions .
The partisan view of what might have been.
The camaraderie of the terraces lives on .
