The nutters and skivers
The whingers and divers
The crash test dummies
And bonkers drivers

The cloggers and fighters
The bathroom firework lighters
The sly shirt tuggers
And shoulder biters

There’s ones who tackle late
And the ones we love to hate
But have a good game and score a goal
And we love ‘em like they’re our best mate

Over the years we’ve seen them all
We’ve watched them rise and watched them fall
But when they work their magic on the pitch
The memory dims and we forgive it all

With head or boot
We don’t give a hoot
When they’re running at goal
And we’re all screaming “Shoot”
