As the Towers were demolished at the Stadium of Wembley
Not a dry eye in sight from the fans in assembly
The venue of legends is never no more
But just a mass of old debris that’s strewn on the floor.

Of what was called our National disgrace
Although it was worshipped by those who now pine
A monument of disinfectant and the smell of urine.

Aftershocks were felt after buying a pie
Hot dogs and hamburgers were the price of a meal
And the prices of a programmes that didn’t appeal.

With most drinking beers and swaying around
The queues for the toilets was always too long
And most had a bladder which wasn’t that strong.

When Geoff Hursts goal sealed the Germans fate
The Stadium itself so famous world wide
Now finally rests with me abide.
