Still The Greek Flag Flies

From the second floor window
Hangs the Greek flag waving
At those going past.
The wind of jubilation pushes it
As it flows in the breeze
How long will it last?
Pride and surprise
End up with dancing in the street
And ecstatic cheers.
All red and white tucked away
But this flag left out
Possibly for years.
To feel the same joy
To bask in the same glory
But only left with pained cries.
A summer to remember
As the victory wraps them up
And so still the Greek flag flies.
