Funny Things Dreams

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Funny things dreams
Strange how they slip
Slip away off between
The cracks in pavements
Or folded neatly beneath pillows
And then lost
Never to be seen again…
Sleeping in a red shirt
Watched over by familiar faces
Smiling down from posters
And clippings from the Liverpool Echo
Strands of news exotic places
Paris Rome Anfield
Matchday programmes
And ticket stubs
Myriad tokens of devotion, hope
And faith…
Funny things dreams
Strange how they slip
Slip away off between
The cracks in pavements
Or folded neatly beneath pillows
And then lost
Never to be seen again…
