A Blue Do!

As the jetsam and the flotsam settle in the stadium
We all feel like we’ve been to the London Palladium
And the camera bulbs that flash to a manager so brash who
Forgets to shave each morning just as day is dawning!

As now we view our idols as the honours go in cycle’s
In 50 years of distance, but just twice in our existence
As the blue boys in their glory add a chapter to the story
As those alive from ’55’ reflect on what it could be
Oh to be a champion in these days of money plenty

As we walk back to the station after awesome celebration
We’re the envy of the nation despite insinuation of the vaguest
Accusation of our owners vast renumeration from financial institutions!

If we were to be so tactfull without money by the sackfull
Would we be in this position where we’re hated and so slated
By the teams who green with envy have wasted money plenty?
As the first season is over and we are sat in clover
Will our glory like our defending be a story never ending?
