flashy cars and superstars
big hotels and football bars
from pay to view to greedy sky
they take the game from you and i
¶ 8

football prices are obscene
from junior school to tyneside
the people’s game has all but died

up on high-the power and lies
you wonder if they sleep at night

to keep the people’s game alive?
