Hallelujah, I’m a Fan!

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 I went to a bar, and I ordered a drink,
‘Cos my Team had won six-nil and I felt in the pink.
Hallelujah, I’m a Fan,
Like me Da, Bruth, Sis’ ‘n’ Mam,
And if you ain’t into football,
From our house you are banned.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 I went to The Match, and The Lads played quite bad.
To be blunt, they were awful, and they rightly got thrashed.
But I don’t care, I’m a Fan,
I’m a football-crazy man,
And next home game I’ll be back there,
Sat high up in the Stands.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 I went to a pub, and I walked though the door,
And the landlord said: “Crikey! It’s the Great Football Bore!”
‘Cos that sad case, he’s no Fan.
He’s a ping-pong-playing man.
When he sees me, well, he scarpers,
Just as fast as he can.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Now, I’ve been to Anfield, Villa Park and The Bridge,
And I’ve travelled ‘cross Europe from Milan to Madrid.
Hallelujah, I’m a Fan,
With my frayed scarf in my hand,
Season Ticket in my pocket,
And my o’erpriced Programme.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Once I went on TV and took part in a quiz,
They sure posed some tough questions, but I weren’t in a tizz.
‘Cos me ‘ead’s crammed full of stats,
Names, results, figures and facts,
Like when Wolves last won a Trophy,
And loads more stuff like that.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Hallelujah, I’m a Fan.
Unashamed of what I am.
And if you ain’t on my wavelength,
Well, I don’t give a damn!
