A Good Game (but it failed to break out)

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Microphone in hand, face to camera
The commentator tries hard not to shout.
So far, it is dull,
You might call it a lull,
Or a good game just trying to break out.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 A player goes down and bounces on grass
“No foul” came the referee’s shout.
With its ebb and its flow,
Anyway it could go,
It’s a good game just trying to break out.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Ninety minutes go by and nobody wins,
“Boring” the supporters all shout
With no goal for each team
Comes the end of a dream,
It’s a good game that failed to break out.
