A Horse Show

St Patricks Church we did convene
Full Irish then in Josephines
Die Simpsons was the film selected
Majority wishes were respected
Horse Show Inn, ate stew, drank Miller
Looked outside, won’t be no thriller
We crossed the road, it lashed, a shocker
Thanks heavens for our summer soccer
The Blazers dry and golden tanned
Sat quiet and dryly in the stand
We weathered Longfords 1st half storm
And in the 2nd did transform
We knew we’d have that pot of tin
When the Beast secured a 1-0 win
We won the cup but I duly lost
my voice, what harm sure, minor cost
The bus trip home had booze and chants
And even some Spongebob Squarepants
For fellow passengers, heavenly manna
No voice to sing Club Tropicana
