The boys charge out, a standing ovation
a half full crowd roar with emotion
Cap in hand and pie in t’other
Chatter between you and another

The whistle blows, the match has begun
in claret and red, the boys are having fun
Twinkle toes Brevett’s magical touch
Skins the defender, beats the trap

Here’s ‘Legs’ Larry Smith, a spectacle in motion
His tight winding thigh muscles, cause such a commotion
Beads of sweat he wipes from his brow
If he swung my way, I’d marry him now!

A crunching tackle, an ‘oooooh’ from the stands
Dirty play ref! But he waves his hands
The crowd look for blood, they shout and they jeer
But still, it’s only Brentford, so we forget and we cheer!
