And So We Prevailed…

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 There they were all wearing their red!
The best team in the world, it has to be said!!!
They were gona beat that game, in Istanbul this day!
Take home that cup…raise it high and say;

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 ‘We are the mighty Reds and can’t be beat!
Feel the power, and feel the Red heat!’
So they mowed them down and beat AC Milan!
And took them to task, as only the mighty Reds can!

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Cheered on by the crowds they sang out loud!
‘Come on you Reds, do us proud!!!’
And as the Reds ran riot all over the pitch;
They took them to task, with hardly a hitch!

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 They played the game, and played it hard too!
They wanted that cup and knew what to do!
So they fought the fight and worked it hard,
Now and again we saw the ref hold his card!

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 But nothing and no-one can beat that team in Red!
For the Liverpool team are great! It has to be said!
So I watched that game with baited breath, and more,
No doubt in my mind whatsoever I knew the score!

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Cos no matter the team that played us that day…
They wouldn’t beat us Reds, not no-how, no-way!
The Reds took them to task as the crowd cheered on!
And we all cheered when the mighty Reds won!

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 There was no doubt at all who would win in ‘my’ head!
For it was the Liverpool lot, that mighty team in Red!
