1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 As yet another manager rides into the sunset
Leaving the trophy cabinet still bare
It looks like Big Sam, from the Wanderers
Will soon arrive on a wing and a prayer.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 He may bring in some quality players
Treat them with the utmost respect
Outline his plans for the future
And warn them what he will expect.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Read the names who have been here before him
Sadly none quite up to the task
He will be hounded by the media daily
And try to answer each question they ask.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 He may say this is the job that he wanted
And the fans here deserve what is best
Add that he shall relish the challenge
And feel he is up for the test.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Sam please dont say that Dyer and Bramble
Deserve a fair crack of the whip
They are part of the reason we are sinking
And I pray they abandon our ship.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 He will refer to us passionate Geordies
And promise he’ll put an end to our hurt
But Sam try avoid any reference
To your time in the Sunderland shirt.
