Dean Windass Takes Tigers Top

It is easy to write about the famous goals
Scored by the gifted players
Whose stardust sprinkled boots
Remain the stuff of dreams
But every now and then football
That great breaker of hearts
Gives us something to cheer
In the shape of someone
Who looks just like us
And when Deano scored that dramatic goal
In the playoff final to take the Tigers to Old Trafford
His brave auld heart burst its rusty cage
And the battered legs ran free
Setting loose the 7 year old in all of us
Who dreamed of scoring that one cup winning goal for our club.
