On a Saturday

Watching each beep push along the screen
How nice it is for you
To have no worries
But you know I’m sprawled here
Being smacked around by my every nerve.

Just to round me up
Bring some kind of completion
To a shadowy day in a badly lit room
It’s a different world
From everything you know
But I like it that way
It’s good to spend time in another destination.
