1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Players’ platitudes aired in the press
about how they’re gonna do this,
that and the other: how the play-offs
are not that far off; how they have put
top teams to the sword; how they
have the stomach and desire; how the
spirit in the camp is still good.
Do me a favour!
Lads, take a long, hard look at
yourselves cos this is the reality:
players in the comfort zone;
lacking a real leader on the pitch;
(though they talk a good game off it)
second to the ball all over the park;
beaten by the bottom teams;
passionless prima donnas lacking
in guts and the sheer will to win
football matches.
Shocking body language there
for all to see.
So lads do us all a favour:
do your talking on the pitch in future.
