From working class towns
ball juggling clowns
came with a game
each one never the same
who made for themselves a name
a place, a claim to fame

a life away
from work to play
at the end of work week

a Sunday treat

To rush at other men
with a ball at their feet
Men who loved other men’s play
who could only go one way
Football football football it’s-a-game its-a-game
giz-a-go biz-a-go flow flow flow
