Football Lighthouse

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 There’s a dream that I left back in childhood
In the overgrown grass down a lane

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 On a park that was my very own Anfield
A place where the child used to play

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 That place where the days stretched in summer
And the dangers were shadows to slay

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 On a park where I danced down the wings
A place where the child used to play

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 There’s a dream that I harbour from childhood
Where the ghosts of my youth choose to stay

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 And my Dad holds out his hand down from heaven
To that place where the child longs to play…

Notes

We are all kids when it comes to football. We all need a Lighthouse…..
