To various degrees, experience victories and losses
Ninety two bosses
Same hopes and ambitions : winning and survival
Different starting points : in at the top – or a club needing revival
Ninety two bosses
Same determination, different personalities
Same infrastructures, different localities
Ninety two bosses
Two of them stand out – for the colour of their skin
Ninety two bosses
Another two stand out – one is quite rotund, the other whippet thin
Ninety two bosses
Two of them stand out – one is top of the Premiership, the other bottom of the pile
Ninety two bosses
Two of them stand out – one noted for his sourness, the other for his smile
Ninety two bosses
In Bristol, one is City, the other wears a Rovers blazer
Ninety two bosses
In Manchester, one is City, the other answers to Glazer
Ninety two bosses
Two of them stand out – one is in the job the longest, the other has just started
Ninety one and a half bosses
Two of them stand out – one of them is a caretaker, the other departed
Ninety two bosses
Two of them stand out – one is squeeky clean, the other sullied by bungs
Ninety two bosses
Two of them stand out – one is the quietest, the other screams from the top of his lungs
And so I could go on, until we’ve covered them all
From the meek to the Special – it takes allsorts, to survive in football
Ninety two bosses
Colourful in every way; masters of colourful language; coloured in their views
Ninety two bosses
Long may they prosper – and help racism to become yesterdays news

A poem acknowledging the racist factor alluded to in Crispin’s poem, while at the same time wanting to show that all the bosses are different in their own way.
