Head over heels
like the crowd in love,
a backflip to celebrate
that lucky, scrappy goal,
more aesthetic the reaction than the action.

1-0 victory,
cue mass jubilation,
the goal the one and all,

Clean-sheets best forgotten,
cast aside,
don’t matter,
those at the back
don’t need the glory,
we don’t need to be told we’re good.
