Hearts

Some hearts are scrawled on walls in chalk
Splayed from the incessant hiss of graffiti mischief
Deliciously illicitly scribbled
Tagged and snagged
With initials and street sentiment
Others are carved undercover
Into the bark of silent trees
Padlocked and twisted into forget me nots
But others are formed in the shape of goals
Forged from the flames of fiery boots
Worthy of Isengard.
