July Seven 2005

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 I had checked out Arsenal’s early season games
The players who had gone, and any new names
My mind was excited, my heart really sang
Then suddenly, it all disappeared with a bang

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Bomb blasts in London, in bus and in train
Shock and terror gained control of my brain
With dread in my heart I picked up the phone
Relief swept through me, my son was at home

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Grandchildren too, all safe and sound
Sympathy and anger then jostled for ground
Hundreds were injured; many were dead
The bus and the trains were spattered blood red

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 What now, does it matter, which team shall we play
When such Evil is practiced abroad
In Europe, in Africa, in the U.S. of A
And all in the holy name of God
