Long ball

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Today was the day when the team had to perform
And forget recent weeks when a little forlorn
Gone was the long ball a tactic of Sams
A return to the football a favourite with fans
And although Blackburn Rovers were no easy ride
The players give all and re gathered their pride
And it all goes to show that the long ball will not pay
As supporters frustrations have shown up to today
It’s the same crop of players that we have come to know
Who used to put on a good footballing show
We now hope our manager has finally seen sense
That by playing good football our season will commence
